The Democratic Republic of the Congo is recognized as being possibly the poorest country in the world. Because of political instability, economic problems and environmental issues, and also because of recent historical events, the Democratic Republic of Congo is possibly one of the poorer country in the world, if not the poorest, accordingly to the GDP standard.
