The first parentheses Stays the same however the second one you multiply the negative the means negative one and you get this
-2ab+5a+5+8ab-5
6ab+5a
-2ab+5a+5+8ab-5
6ab+5a
everything the other reply says is true just writing the terms out a lil more...
( -2ab+5a+5) - (-8ab+5)
= -2ab + 5a + 5 + 8ab - 5
= -2ab + 8ab + 5a + 5 - 5
= 6ab + 5a
( -2ab+5a+5) - (-8ab+5)
= -2ab + 5a + 5 + 8ab - 5
= -2ab + 8ab + 5a + 5 - 5
= 6ab + 5a
