What is the solution to the equation 1/4 x + 2 = -5/3 x -5

Answer:

1/4 x + 2 = -5/3 x -5

1/4x + 5/3x = -5-2

Multiply through by 12

3x + 20x = -84

23x = -84

x = -84/23

x = -84/23
